Maple Brown Sugar Oatmeal Breakfast

Around here, I tend to go in cycles. For a few weeks at a time, I’ll make eggs of various sorts for breakfast. Then, once I get a little tired of those, I start making something else, usually some kind of baked breakfast. Oats are common.

One of the classic oatmeal flavor combos is maple and brown sugar, so that’s what I’ve been doing a lot recently. This isn’t exactly a new or innovative treat, but it’s a solid, easy recipe you can use for breakfast, dessert, or a snack.

There’s really not a lot to this recipe, and you don’t need to do anything complicated. Oats/oatmeal, milk, brown sugar, maple syrup, a tasty nut, and a couple other ingredients like a bit of cinnamon and vanilla make it. If it’s something I can throw together when I’m half asleep in the morning, it can’t be that hard, right?
