Hey there! I recently put together a big guide to the tools and supplies a novice baker needs (and what they don’t), which makes for a perfect gift guide for the holidays. If you haven’t checked it out already, take a look! The Ultimate Baking Equipment Gift List for a Novice Baker.

The holidays are a great time for settling in with a nice warm beverage, so I always like to cover a couple each year to build up a drinks library. A lot of what I make ends up being chocolate-based, though, like:

So, sometimes, I feel like I want to do something a little different. Today is one of those days, so I decided to put together an altogether sweeter coffee drink: a sugar cookie latte!

I don’t know about all of you, but I love a good sugar cookie. Something about the simplicity in texture and flavor means it’s really a great lightweight treat. So, making a coffee drink that tastes the same, without any burnt sugar or overly sweet end results, is a little trickier than you might think. After all, when there’s so little going on, it’s hard to hide a flaw.

The good news is, it’s pretty simple to make a sugar cookie syrup to infuse into your favorite coffee beverage. Then you can make a hot or iced coffee drink with sugar cookie syrup and still have plenty left over for more.

As a side note, I love my little milk frother here. It was a secret santa gift a couple years ago and I use it all the time. If you want something to mix quick drinks, it’s a super great investment! If you want the same one I have, it’s this Zulay Milk Frother (that’s an Amazon affiliate link), which costs under $20 and will last years.
Here’s what you can do with it!
