Blueberry Cider Slush

I talk a lot about the orchards we visit every year, but it’s not often that I get inspiration for a new recipe from those orchards. This year, though, we happened to visit on opening day for the season. In addition to the various goodies, the music, the food truck, and the donuts, they also had a local there with a gimmick. She has an exercise bike she equipped with a blender, so that she — or you, or your kids — can hop on and power the blender with a little exercise.

What she was making was a blueberry and cider mix. We tried it, and it was delicious, so I decided to make some at home. It’s real easy, so I’m sharing it.

There’s not actually much to this, either in terms of the recipe or today’s post. I’m taking a bit of a rest after making a dozen things out of the Elder Scrolls Cookbook Volume 2 for my review, so this is just a simple, delicious drink. If you want a slushy rather than just a cold drink, freeze the cider in an ice cube tray first. Give it a try!
