Classic Pineapple Dole Whip

Recently, I’ve been watching a lot of YouTube streams of people who spend time at the various Disney parks. It’s a lot of fun to watch the parades, see some of the rides, and generally live vicariously when it’s pretty unlikely I’ll be going to the parks myself any time soon.

One thing that always catches my eye is the Dole Whip treat you see in the parks. It’s somewhat synonymous with Disney, since the two have a long history, but there are a few different versions. The original Dole Whip was made to be a dairy-free dry mix designed to stand up to the heat in Florida. These days, there are a bunch of different recipes and versions.

The pineapple Dole Whip was a Disney exclusive for a long time, up until Dole finally published a recipe just a few years ago. My recipe here today is a copycat of that pineapple recipe, and I plan to do Dole’s more recent recipe later.

And, just from the pictures, you can probably figure out the whole thing! Blend together some frozen ingredients, put it in a cup, and you’re done! It looks prettier if you have a soft-serve machine, which I don’t, or if you make it a single-serve, but I divided mine so my partner could have some too.
