Ingredients
2CupsSelf-Rising Flour
1StickSalted ButterChilled and Cubed
2TbspSalted ButterMelted
1CupWhole MilkCold
Instructions
Preheat your oven to 450℉.
Cut and mix the cold butter with the flour to make something coarse and grainy. Add in the cold milk and stir until it comes together into a dough, but don't over-mix. If it's too dry, add a bit more milk.
Using a ¼ cup measuring cup, drop dollops of the biscuit dough into your skillet. Don't worry if they touch a bit.
Bake the biscuits for 20-25 minutes, until they're turning golden-brown. When they're done, remove them from the oven and brush them with the melted butter for extra flavor. Tip: An herb or compound butter goes great here!
