Simple chocolate-filled pretzels with sprinkles for Valentine's Day
Servings 45 Mini Pretzels
Prep Time 5 minutes
Chill Time 30 minutes
Total Time 35 minutes

Equipment

  • Piping Bag A ziploc with a corner trimmed works fine.
  • Microwave-safe Bowl
  • Rubber Spatula
  • Baking Sheet
  • Silpat or Parchment Paper

Ingredients

  • 45 Mini Pretzels More or less, depending on how much chocolate you add to each.
  • 6 Oz. Chocolate Chips I like dark chocolate but it's up to you.

Instructions

  • Line your baking sheet with paper or a silicone baking mat for easy management.
  • In your bowl, melt your chocolate by microwaving it for 30 seconds at a time and stirring in between. You can use a double boiler if you prefer, all you need is to melt the chocolate.
  • Wait a couple of minutes for the chocolate to cool a bit, but not harden. Transfer the chocolate to a piping bag (or a Ziploc with the corner trimmed off).
  • Arrange pretzels on your baking sheet and start piping in chocolate. I found it best to fill each of the three hole segments and then add a dab in the middle to cover the pretzel.
  • Sprinkle your decorations on the chocolate before it fully hardens to ensure they stick, then transfer the sheet to the fridge to chill and set the chocolate.
