Apple Crumble for Two

A simple apple crumble dessert made in two individual portions, perfect for a couple's night.

Equipment

  • 10 oz. Ramekins
  • Knife
  • Apple Peeler/Corer

Ingredients

For the Apples

  • 3 Small Apples Peeled and cored.
  • Tbsp Lemon Juice
  • 3 Tbsp Brown Sugar
  • ½ Tsp Cinnamon
  • Tsp Nutmeg
  • 1 Pinch Salt

For the Crumble Topping

  • Cup Oats
  • Cup Flour
  • ¼ Cup Brown Sugar
  • 1 Tsp Cinnamon
  • ¼ Tsp Nutmeg
  • Tsp Salt
  • 2 Tbsp Unsalted Butter Melted

Instructions

Prepare the Apples

  • Peel, core, and slice the apples into small pieces.
  • Mix the apples with the lemon juice, brown sugar, cinnamon, nutmeg, and salt, stirring to coat.
  • Divide the apple mixture into your ramekins.

Prepare the Crumble Topping

  • Preheat the oven to 350°F
  • Mix the oats, flour, cinnamon, nutmeg, and salt together.
  • Add the brown sugar and melted butter. Stir and mix well. I use my hand to fully incorporate it when I'm nearly done.
  • Pour the topping on top of the apples in the ramekins, divided evenly between the two.
  • Bake for 35-40 minutes, until apples are tender and the topping is starting to brown.
  • Let cool slightly before serving, and top with ice cream. Enjoy!
