Cranberry Apple Casserole

A simple mixture of apples, cranberries, and a spiced oat topping to make a quick dessert for the holidays.

Ingredients

For the Topping

  • Cups Oatmeal Old Fashioned Oats
  • ½ Cup Salted Butter Melted
  • ½ Cup Brown Sugar
  • ½ Cup Chopped Pecans
  • Cup Flour
  • 1 Tsp Cinnamon

For the Fruit

  • 3 Cups Apples Peeled, cored, and diced small.
  • 3 Cups Cranberries Fresh!
  • 1 Cup Sugar
  • 2 Tbsp Corn Starch

Instructions

  • Preheat your oven to 350°F. Prepare your baking dish by greasing it with some butter.
  • In a mixing bowl, combine together the oats, brown sugar, pecans, flour, and cinnamon, and mix well. Add in the melted butter and combine, then set aside.
  • Toss the apples in corn starch to coat. Then, add the cranberries and sugar, and further mix to coat them all.
  • Spread the apple/cranberry mix in your baking dish. Then, spread the oat mixture on top evenly.
  • Bake for 50-60 minutes, or until the fruit is tender and the topping is browning. Let rest for 10 minutes to cool before serving.
